An interpreter helps people who do not speak English, communicate with English speakers in the court setting by using their language of origin. An interpreter is the middle person who conveys everything that is being said in English, word by word, to the person and interprets whatever the person says in their native language into English for everyone to understand, word by word. An interpreter needs to study legal, medical, slang, and firearms terms in both languages in order to pass the State Court Exam to be a Court Certified Interpreter.
